F.A.Q.

WHAT IS LIFE CLUB?
Life Club is a club about life, in that we think life should be lived and therefore go about living it, together, all club-like, because who doesn't like a few like-minded friends?

WHAT DOES THE LIFE CLUB DO?
A better question may be what don’t we do? Our activities range from philosophizing to field trips, guest lectures to flash mobs. Mostly, we like to sit around and talk about what makes up happy and we also like to make dreams come true.

WHO IS LIFE CLUB?
Hopefully everyone. We want this to be a worldwide movement. After all, we can’t think of anyone who shouldn’t be a bit happier.

If you’re referring to the Instigators, we are (with the help of some smart Brits):

[ELIZABETH]: Blog decorator extraordinaire and creator of beauty. If she hadn’t decided to pick up a newspaper that day we really wouldn’t be here.

[LAUREN]: Expert at distracting people from anything serious. Has devoted her heart and soul to Life Club.

[SHARLIE]: Always game for anything and goes into plans with full enthusiasm. Really good at folding paper fortune tellers and drawing ivy leaves.

[KIMBERLY]: Salt Lake City correspondent, excellent at instigating thoughtful discussion. Really good at being the person who holds the camera out to take a picture of everyone and laughing so hard she becomes incapacitated.

WHERE IS LIFE CLUB?
America! Well, Provo, Utah to be more exact---and Brigham Young University if we're being super nit-picky. We meet at different times and different places for each meeting, though, so you can keep up with us here at dinosaurdaisies or join to get the weekly email.

WHEN IS LIFE CLUB?
Life Club meets every other week for twenty minutes to an hour, and spontaneously throughout the month.

HOW DO I JOIN?

All you have to do is show up. We try to make it as easy as possible. At one point we contemplated an audition involving lion taming, plate juggling, and bubble gum blowing, but then we wouldn’t be in the club ourselves. E-mail us at thecluboflife@gmail.com with your name, most obscure talent, and dream in a drawer to be added to our roster and the weekly email with the whens and wheres.

WAIT, WHAT’S A DREAM IN A DRAWER?
A dream in a drawer is an aspiration you have in life. A Bucket List. A Things to do Before I Die list. A Well This Would Make Me Really Happy if it Happened list. It can be anything from climbing Mt. Everest to visiting Iceland to making a sculpture out of Hershey’s kisses to running to the top of the SWKT in under 5 minutes to winning a pie eating contest. It’s really up to you and what would make you happy. Tell us as many as you like.

DINOSAURDAISIES??
When deciding on a URL we brainstormed things that make people happy. Most things we came up with were fairly girly sounding (sunshinerainbowlove, pinkoranges, fuzzypuppiesandblankets, diamondsroseschocolateandchanelbags) or too long (ivegotsunshineonacloudydaywhenitscoldoutsideivegotthemonthofmay). We finally decided on something simple that both boys and girls like. Think back to watching Land Before Time and making daisy chains. Do you feel happy? Exactly. Now if you find someone who doesn’t like dinosaurs OR daisies let us know and we’ll change it, or we will share our convincing arguments that will cause them to change their mind.
